When a difficult situation arises 

①詩篇 18：17

主は​〔天の〕高みから御手（みて）を差し伸べて私を捉（とら）え、大水〔の中〕から引き上げてくださる。

15．災難がふりかかろうとする時

①ルカ 8：22～25
ある日のこと、イエスが弟子たちと一緒に舟に乗り、「湖の向こう岸へ渡ろう」と言われたので、船出した。

 

渡って行くうちに、イエスは眠ってしまわれた。突風が湖に吹き降ろして来て、彼らは水をかぶり、危なくなった。それで、〔弟子たちは〕近寄ってイエスを起こし、「先生、先生、このままでは死んでしまいます」と言った。イエスが起き上がって、風と荒波をお叱りになると、静まって凪​（なぎ）になった。

 

イエスは、「あなたがたの信仰はどこにあるのか」と言われた。弟子たちは恐れ驚いて、「一体、この方はどなたなのだろう。命じれば風も波も従うではないか」と互いに言った。

Luke 8.22-25
One day he got into a boat with his disciples, and he said to them, “Let us go across to the other side of the lake.” So they put out, and while they were sailing he fell asleep. 

​

A windstorm swept down on the lake, and the boat was filling with water, and they were in danger. They went to him and woke him up, shouting, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” And he woke up and rebuked the wind and the raging waves; they ceased, and there was a calm. 

​

He said to them, “Where is your faith?” They were afraid and amazed, and said to one another, “Who then is this, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?”

それゆえ、私は弱さ、侮辱（ぶじょく）、困窮（こんきゅう）、迫害、行き詰（づ）まりの中にあっても、キリストのために喜んでいます。

火の中を行くときも、あなたは焼かれず、
炎もあなたに燃え付くことはない。

Isaiah 43.1-3a

But now thus says the LORD, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel:

 

Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.

 

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.

③マタイ 6：25～34
「だから、言っておく。自分の命のことで何を食べようか何を飲もうかと、また体のことで何を着ようかと思い煩（わずら）うな。

命は食べ物よりも大切であり、体は衣服よりも大切ではないか。

 

空の鳥を見なさい。種も蒔（ま）かず、刈り入れもせず、倉に納めもしない。だが、あなたがたの天の父は鳥を養ってくださる。まして、あなたがたは、鳥よりも優れたものではないか。

 

あなたがたのうち誰が、思い煩ったからといって、寿命を僅（わず）かでも延ばすことができようか。なぜ、

 

衣服のことで思い煩うのか。野の花がどのように育つのか、よく学びなさい。働きもせず、紡（つむ）ぎもしない。

しかし、言っておく。栄華を極めたソロモンでさえ、この花の一つほどにも着飾ってはいなかった。

 

今日は生えていて、明日は炉に投げ込まれる野の草でさえ、神はこのように装ってくださる。まして、あなたがたにはなおさらのことではないか、信仰の薄い者たちよ。

だから、あなたがたは、「何を食べようか」「何を飲もうか」「何を着ようか」と言って、思い煩ってはならない。それはみな、異邦人が切に求めているものだ。あなたがたの天の父は、これらのものがみな、あなたがたに必要なことをご存じである。

 

まず神の国と神の義とを求めなさい。そうすれば、これらのものはみな添えて与えらる。

だから、明日のことを思い煩ってはならない。明日のことは明日自らが思い煩う。その日の苦労は、その日だけで十分である。

Matthew 6.25-34
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

 

Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your span of life?

 

And why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?

 

Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For it is the Gentiles who strive for all these things; and indeed your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

 

But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

 

“So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today's trouble is enough for today.

それゆえ、憐れみを受け、恵みにあずかって、時宜（じぎ）にかなった助けをいただくために、堂々と恵みの座に近づこうではありませんか。

Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
