When you're depressed
①マタイ 10：28
体は殺しても、命は殺すことのできない者どもを恐れるな。むしろ、命も体もゲヘナで滅ぼすことのできる方を恐れなさい。

Matthew 10.28
Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

②Ⅱテモテ 1：7
神が私たちに与えてくださったのは、臆病（おくびょう）の霊ではなく、力と愛と思慮の霊だからです。

for God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but rather a spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline.

6．非難・いじめられた時

When you are criticized or bullied
①ローマ 12：17～18，21
誰にも悪をもって悪に報いることなく、すべての人の前で善を行うように心がけなさい。

 

できれば、せめてあなたがたは、すべての人と平和に過ごしなさい。

 

愛する人たち、自分で復讐せず、神の怒りに任せなさい。

「『復讐は私のすること、私が報復する』と主は言われる」と書いてあります。

 

「あなたの敵が飢えていたら食べさせ、渇いていたら飲ませよ。そうすれば、燃える炭火を彼の頭に積むことになる。」

 

悪に負けることなく、善をもって悪に勝ちなさい。

Romans 12.17-18, 21
 Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all. If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.  Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

②Ⅰコリント 13：1～13
たとえ、人々の異言、天使たちの異言を語ろうとも、愛がなければ、私は騒がしいどら、やかましいシンバル。

 

たとえ私が、預言する力を持ち、あらゆる秘義とあらゆる知識に通じていても、また、山を移すほどの信仰を持っていても、愛がなければ、無に等しい。

 

全財産を人に分け与えても、焼かれるためにわが身を引き渡しても、愛がなければ、私には何の益もない。

愛は忍耐強い。愛は情け深い。妬まない。愛は自慢せず、高ぶらない。礼を失せず、自分の利益を求めず、怒（いか）らず、悪をたくらまない。 不正を喜ばず、真理を共に喜ぶ。すべてを忍び、すべてを信じ、すべてを望み、すべてに耐える。

愛は決して滅びません。

 

しかし、預言は廃（すた）れ、異言はやみ、知識も廃れます。私たちの知識は一部分であり、預言も一部分だからです。完全なものが来たときには、部分的なものは廃れます。

 

幼子だったとき、私は幼子のように話し、幼子のように思い、幼子のように考えていました。大人になったとき、幼子のような在り方はやめました。

 

私たちは、今は、鏡におぼろに映ったものを見ていますが、その時には、顔と顔とを合わせて見ることになります。

 

私は、今は一部分しか知りませんが、その時には、私が神にはっきり知られているように、はっきり知ることになります。

 

それゆえ、信仰と、希望と、愛、この三つは、いつまでも残ります。その中で最も大いなるものは、愛です。

1 Corinthians 13.1-13
If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

 

Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end. For we know only in part, and we prophesy only in part; but when the complete comes, the partial will come to an end. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became an adult, I put an end to childish ways. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known. And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.

7．失望・落胆した時

When you're disappointed and discouraged
①マタイ 5：11～12
私のために、人々があなたがたを罵り、迫害し、ありもしないことで悪口を浴びせるとき、あなたがたは幸いである。

 

喜びなさい。大いに喜びなさい。天には大きな報いがある。あなたがたより前の預言者たちも、同じように迫害されたのである。

Matthew 5.11-12
“Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

私たちは、四方から苦難を受けても行き詰まらず、途方に暮れても失望せず、 迫害されても見捨てられず、倒されても滅びません。

We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.

③フィリピ 4：4～7
主にあっていつも喜びなさい。もう一度言います。喜びなさい。

 

あなたがたの寛容な心をすべての人に知らせなさい。

 

主は近いのです。 何事も思い煩ってはなりません。

どんな場合にも、感謝を込めて祈りと願いを献げ、求めているものを神に打ち明けなさい。

 

そうすれば、あらゆる人知を超えた神の平和が、あなたがたの心と考えとをキリスト・イエスによって守るでしょう。

Philippians 4.4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.

 

Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8．友達に裏切られた時

When a friend betrays you
①ルカ 17：3～4
あなたがたも気をつけなさい。きょうだいが罪を犯したなら、戒めなさい。そして、悔い改めれば、赦してやりなさい。

 

一日に七回あなたに対して度罪を犯しても、七回あなたの方を向いて、『悔い改めます』と言うなら、赦してやりなさい。

​Luke 17.3-4

Be on your guard! If another disciple sins, you must rebuke the offender, and if there is repentance, you must forgive. And if the same person sins against you seven times a day, and turns back to you seven times and says, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive.”

あなたがたを迫害する者を祝福しなさい。祝福するのであって、呪ってはなりません。 ・・・

 

誰にも悪をもって悪に報いることなく、すべての人の前で善を行うよう心がけなさい。 ・・

私の最初の弁明の際には、誰も助けてくれず、皆私を見捨てました。どうかそのことで彼らが責められることがありませんように。

 

しかし、主はそばにいて、私を強めてくださいました。

それは、私を通して福音があまねく宣べ伝えられ、すべての民族がそれを聞くようになるためです。

 

そして、私は獅子の口から助け出されました。

主は私を、あらゆる悪い行いから助け出し、天の御国へ救い入れてくださるでしょう。

 

栄光が主に世々限りなくありますように、アーメン。

2 Timothy 4.16-18
At my first defense no one came to my support, but all deserted me. May it not be counted against them! But the Lord stood by me and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion's mouth. The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and save me for his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
